Sports Boulevard is designed to promote physical activity and well-being through spaces dedicated to walking, cycling, and sports. Beyond this, it will enrich Riyadh’s cultural and recreational landscape with world-class facilities, public art, and events. By integrating green spaces and environmental education into urban life, the project also fosters sustainable practices and community awareness.

Covering 4.2 million square meters of green and open spaces, Sports Boulevard includes a sprawling 20-square-kilometer desert park that features outdoor museums, event venues, and a show piazza. The seven themed zones each offer unique attractions. The Hanifah Valley Zone will boast a 30-kilometer route for cycling, horse riding, and walking, complete with retail outlets and rest areas. The Arts District will serve as a 3-kilometer cultural hub, offering museums, studios, and recreational paths. The Urban Wadi Zone, a 3.5-kilometer stretch with a water canal and pedestrian pathways, will connect directly to the King Abdullah Financial District. The Entertainment District will provide a 4-kilometer area with theaters, cinema complexes, and summer cooling systems.

The Athletics District will feature 60 sports venues, including a high-rise sports tower, velodrome, and courts for various sports. The Environmental Zone, spanning 14 kilometers, will focus on sustainability, incorporating nurseries, organic farming, and eco-education centers. Finally, the Al Sulai Valley Zone and Red Sand Park will offer scenic routes for cycling, horse riding, and camping, complemented by a rural resort and zoo. Professional and amateur cyclists will benefit from advanced cycling paths, with separate elevated and at-grade routes designed for their needs. This innovative infrastructure underscores the project’s commitment to accessibility and safety.
